Review by Peter Smith. This 'RV Travel Handbook' is A4 sized, full colour and runs to 112 pages. The first half of the book deals with educating those new to Caravans, Camper trailers and Motorhomes, the differences between the various forms of Recreational Vehicle available for hire or purchase. Pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of each form, it helps the reader choose the right rig. For those experienced travelers, there is always something new to learn and this book contains many new hints and tips plus keeps old timers up to date with modern communication options and facilities they may not have kept up with. There is info on checklists, preparation, budgeting and emergencies. The second part of the book, deals with trips between major road junctions or towns. With the inclusion of many photographs it get the reader either enthusiastic about traveling or reminiscent if they'd done that trip before. The personal approach of the author sets it apart from some of the more formal books out there in this growing RV market. The book would make a great gift.
